Minor Body Piercing near Redondo Beach
Minor body piercings are available by appointment only and are evaluated on a case by case basis. We do not set one universal age requirement for every minor piercing because parents often know their child’s maturity level better than anyone. However, age alone is never the only factor. For any minor piercing, we need to see that the child is mature enough to understand the piercing procedure, understand that proper healing requires consistent piercing aftercare, and realistically be able to follow that aftercare throughout the healing process. Approval may also depend on anatomy, physical development, and overall maturity, since some piercings are simply not appropriate until the area has developed enough. All final decisions are made by the piercer based on anatomy, readiness, and what is appropriate for the minor. Nipple piercings and genital piercings are not performed on minors under any circumstances.
All piercings for minors require a scheduled appointment and proper identification. A parent must be present, or a legal guardian must be present with documentation proving legal guardianship. We do not accept consent from just any accompanying adult without legal paperwork. Valid ID is required for both the parent or legal guardian and the minor at the time of the appointment. Our team follows strict hygiene and safety protocols at every appointment, including the use of sterilized equipment and single use needles to provide a clean, safe, and professional piercing experience. Every appointment includes a thorough consultation covering the piercing process, jewelry selection, healing expectations, and aftercare instructions so both the minor and parent understand what is required for proper healing. We focus on delivering an experience that balances style, safety, professionalism, and age appropriate decision making, while following all applicable state and local regulations.
